When a Voice in a Dream Gives You “The Answer”

Some definitions of the word "idea" are as follows: [1] a thought, plan, or suggestion about what to do, [2] an opinion or belief, [3] something that you imagine or picture in your mind [4] any conception existing in the mind as a result of mental understanding, mental awareness, or mental activity.
With this lead in, I want to present an idea for any explorers that are new to the world of understanding their dreams. This is the idea that you can incubate a dream by suggesting and affirming to your inner self and your conscious self that you wish to experience a dream about a certain topic or more specifically to receive an answer to a question, or to receive practical guidance in the solving of a real life problem.
This is a practice in the art of dreamwork that I have been using for over 50 years with many successes. Jane Roberts, author of the Seth material, refers to it and other practices as becoming A Dream Art Scientist. At times, the practice will take persistence to develop. But if you are disciplined in the practice it will eventually become your expectation that you will receive the information from a dream that you seek. I believe this practice illustrates the admonition to:
• Seek and you will find.
• Ask and you will receive.
• Knock and the door will be opened.
The practice is that of dream incubation, or to develop or produce a dream about that which you are incubating. One of my most recent experiences at dream incubation deals with a concern many people have with the present state of perceived chaos, confusion over a vision for the future, and a lack of a continued movement toward equality & justice for all. These are all indicators that the experiment in democracy that our American culture has been involved in for so long, appears to be evolving. But, it is not just an American experience, it is a global experience.
It is with a history of proving this method in my dreamwork and a belief in its power that one night a few weeks ago, before falling asleep, I suggested to my conscious mind, subconscious mind and inner self that I desired and expected more insight and a solution to the societal anguish and confusion that millions are experiencing at this historical time. How do we as a society move forward?
With that background, I awake from a dream that night with this action taking place. My dreaming self like my waking self is asking the question to another personality in my dream. I am aware of another personality being in the dream event even though upon awaking I could not identify that personality. What impacted me was a voice that stated very clearly – “Reread the ending of Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time and you will discover your answer”. Awakening from this dream and the certainty of the voice in the dream, I felt that I had received the answer to my suggestion, or incubation of the ideas stated above.
Immediately upon getting out of bed, I went to the family room which now serves also as a writer’s office for me. I found the book among the many books authored by Jane Roberts, or books by others sharing their experience with the material. At last count I think it totaled about 35 volumes.
I opened the book to the section suggested by the dream voice and began reading. It did not take long before I discovered the answer to my specific request for the dream incubation.
There it was in plain sight in black & white very clearly laid out. The word is Codicils.
I knew then I had read about the Codicils, previously in the books “Psychic Politics” and “…The Museum of Time”, and at the time had an idea, that I wanted to write a blog about the Codicils because I believed them to be a touchstone in the evolution of civilization and its move toward justice and equality for all while developing humanity’s nature to it full extant.

I will now share with you my rediscovery of the Codicils as recorded by Jane Roberts in The Oversoul Seven Trilogy and Psychic Politics. The source I begin with is the literary fiction work The Oversoul Seven Trilogy. The Trilogy was transmitted and written by Jane thru altered states of consciousness. The quotes I will use come from the 1995 Amber-Allen Publishing edition of the Trilogy, published by Robert Butts (Jane’s spouse) over 10 years after Jane’s physical death.
The following quotes are from sections of the referenced work beginning on page 538 and ending on 545 (last page in the trilogy). Open your mind to a new awareness and understanding. To set the stage, passages from the book’s last chapter follow.
“George was always embarrassed for Window when he spoke for Christ or Monarch; he couldn’t look him in the face. Grinning, he said, “the George?” “Well, I’m George anyhow.”
“I’m deeply honored,” “Monarch said.”
“He is the George, “Leona whispered mentally, and he isn’t, I can tell. Something’s …distorted.”
“And then obviously you aren’t trying to steal the Codicils,” Monarch replied to George, with relief.
“Seven interrupted.” “We’re trying to make sure that the Codicils do appear in your time. You must be dream travelers.”
…”George shook his own head. He knew that whatever Window would say was true. But how did he know”?
“Window began: “I use to speak for a personality called Monarch—as you know. Well, suddenly that consciousness and mine merged. I knew Monarch’s life and he knew mine. But his was a world that makes ours really look sick. I’ve never been so happy in my life as when I glimpsed pictures of that world through his mental images. And his world was based on completely different ideas than ours is….”
“While Oversoul Seven was so concerned with finding the Codicils, the words “the Codicils” kept sounding through Josephine’s mind. She sensed some odd familiarity as if she herself had run across that particular phrase in some significant way before. That is, she thought the words meant “appendages to a will.” Yet suppose in this connotation, they meant “appendages to the will” – to man’s will?” {My note added: In this use “man’s will” refers to mankind, or humanity’s personal will in the generic sense.}
“With no particular destination in mind, she walked up the stairs to her small study and found herself examining the piles of books stacked so neatly on the bookshelves. “The Codicils”, she muttered angrily, anxiously. As if by themselves, her hands began rummaging through the books, fingering the pages. Yet she had the odd feeling that her fingers knew what they were doing, that she had in mind some particular goal beyond her conscious knowing.”
“…She suddenly yelled out in triumph and exaltation as she found the phrase, the particular phrase that was so vital. It was in an old book, Psychic Politics, by Jane Roberts, written many years before. There it was – the blueprint for mankind’s future, the blueprint that she was now completely sure was also written in the tissues and cells of the species itself. She read quickly, triumphantly:”
CODICILS
(Alternate hypotheses as a base for private and public experience)
1. “All of creation is sacred and alive, each part connected to each other part, and each communicating in a creative cooperative commerce in which the smallest and the largest are equally involved.”
2. “The physical senses present one unique version of reality, in which being is perceived in a particular dimensionalized sequence, built up through neurological patterning, and is the result of one kind of neurological focus. There are alternate neurological routes, biologically acceptable, and other sequences so far not chosen.”
3. “Our individual self government and our political organizations are by-products of sequential perception, and our exterior methods of communication set up patterns that correlate with, and duplicate, our synaptic behavior. We lock ourselves into certain structures of reality in this way.”
4. “Our sequential prejudiced perception is inherently far more flexible than we recognize, however. There are half steps – other unperceived impulses – that leap the nerve ends, too fast and too slow for our usual focus. Recognition of these can be learned and encouraged, bringing in perceptive data that will trigger changes in usual sense response, filling out potential sense spectra with which we are normally not familiar.”
5. “This greater possible sense spectrum includes increased perception of inner bodily reality in terms of cellular identity and behavior; automatic conscious control of bodily processes; and increased perception of exterior conditions as the usual senses become more vigorous. (Our sight, for example, is not nearly as efficient as it could be. Nuances of color, texture, and depth could be expanded and our entire visual area attains a brilliance presently considered exceptional or supernormal.)”
“Josephine’s glance slid down the page. The Codicils were followed by comments by the author. There was a paragraph called Comments on the Codicils. It seemed to apply to Codicil #1 and to the five Codicils in general at the same time. She read the pertinent passages quickly and impatiently.”
COMMENTS ON CODICILS
“Acceptance of these first codicils would expand practical knowledge of the self, break down barriers that are the result of our prejudiced perception, and restructure personal, social, and political life.”
“Concepts of the self and practical experience of the self must be broadened if the species is to develop its true potentials. Only an evolution of consciousness can alter the world view that appears to be our official line of consciousness.”
I, John, will digress from quoting from the book and say to the reader of this blog that there are two more pages of Comments on the Codicils that are a must for reading and understanding if you hold the view I do that our culture and the world needs to change its current direction, or the survival of mankind as we know it may be in jeopardy. I encourage you from my heart, to seek, find, read, and become aware of these Codicils. The realization of your human potential may be at stake. Now I am returning to quoting from the book to bring this blog to an ending.
“…George the First cried out: “Zounds, what luck!”
“You’ll never know,” Seven whispered to George mentally. “Goodbye, dear friend, at least for now.” He grinned and added, “It’s been a –uh—super relationship. You succeeded in your pursuits far better than you know.”
And Seven knew that it was all right, that everything was all right, always had been all right, that it had only been their anxieties and doubts that ever made it all seem wrong. They were all couched and safe, forever secure, forever jubilant at the heart of their own beings. There was never anything to be afraid of, if only they trusted the great sweet security that forever held the vitality of their beings, for they were all truly splendid, a part of a loving universe that cradled them forever in a safety and love literally beyond all comprehension.”
In closing this great example of the type of information you may get when you choose to incubate a dream, I encourage you to follow my lead. You may become aware of a new worldview that may be in your future now. A future governed by the CODICILS discussed in the two books referenced. Or, you may just become aware of the power of your dreams for releasing dramatic changes in your life. Either way the process is a win-win situation.
Look for more blogs on this site in the future expanding on these Codicil concepts while being related to my personal dreams and experiences or related to the dreams or experiences of others.

Appendix
The Codicils were first received by Jane Roberts from her mental library and published in her book Psychic Politics-An Aspect Psychology Book, published in 1976. The Codicils I share above were included at the end of the third book of the Oversoul Seven Trilogy, Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time, a fiction novel. This is the reference to which my dream voice first led me, pointing me in the direction of the answer to my question. Jane published the first book of the trilogy The Education of Oversoul Seven in 1973. In 1979 The Further Education of Oversoul Seven was published. The last book of the trilogy Oversoul Seven and the Museum of Time was published in 1984.
In the book Psychic Politics, chapter 21, Jane shares how she received the Codicils. She describes the source as a type of psychic library.
“…Finally one morning as I sat at my table, I saw the library transposed against the living room wall. My double sat there, reading a book. At the same time, the word “codicil” kept coming into my mind again. I heard it mentally, at first faintly and then it sounded louder and louder until I wrote the word down and waited. Then I knew that the material to come represented an alternate model for civilization to follow, and that I was transcribing my book from one depicting such a model—a model that we hadn’t chosen in the past. The codicils would represent a fresh hypothesis upon which to build a new, better civilization.”
As Jane reflected and expanded on what she was receiving, she suddenly realized:
“That the rest of the book would deal with an alternate model for civilization to follow based on the codicils I had just received and others to follow”. … “The rest of the material came very rapidly, and I found myself caught up in a vision of the world far different than the one we know.”
“The codicils, followed, would lead to a government as natural, orderly, and spontaneous as the seasons in which each individual brings personhood to fulfillment to the best of his or her ability, and in so doing automatically plays a potent role in the development of the entire society. Such a civilization would be based upon the following codicils, added to those already given.”
Additional Codicils
1. Each person is a unique version of an inner model that is itself a bank of potentials, variations, and creativity. The psyche is a seed of individuality and selfhood, cast in space-time but ultimately independent of it.
2. We are born in many times and places, but not in a return of identity as we understand it; not as a copy in different clothes, but as a new self ever-rising out of the psyche’s life as the new ruler rises to the podium or throne, in a psychic politics as ancient as humanity.
3. Civilizations both past and present represent projections of inner selfhood, and mirror the state of the mass psyche at any given time. We hold memory and knowledge of past civilizations as we hold unconscious memories of our private early current life experiences.
4. From our present, we exert force upon the past as well as the future, forming our ideas of the past and reacting accordingly. We actually project events into our own new past.
5. Each generation forms a new past, one that exists as surely as the present, not just an imaginary construct but as a practical platform—a newly built past—upon which we build a present.
6. Options and alternate models for selfhood and civilization exist in a psychic pattern of probabilities from which we can choose to actualize an entirely new life system.
And so, just as a dream can have a false awakening; an experience where you think you have awakened from a dream and begin reflecting on it, only to find out you are still dreaming when your consciousness in the dream gives you a clue pointing toward that fact; - I will now have a second ending to this report with a quote from Seth (Jane’s teacher) used as the closing to Jane’s book Psychic Politics.
“I am a poor imitation of the voices of your own psyches to which you do not listen. I will be un-needed, and gladly so, when you realize that the vitality and reinforcement and joy are your own, and rise from the fountain of your own beings; when you realize that you do not need me for protection, for there is nothing you need protect yourself against.”

Are You Traveling In
Your Dreams? ©
John W. Robinson, Dream Awareness Network, October 20, 2016 At some time in your life, you may have heard of various
topics related to traveling out-of-body in a “dream body”. Such topics as
astral travel, astral projection, projection of consciousness, out-of-body-experiences;
or maybe some other term used by the ancient explorers of the night has been
discussed in your presence. If we are to attain full Dream
Awareness, we cannot ignore these experiences reported by countless
dreamers throughout the ages. This is
the subject of this 3 blog in the series dealing with the various
types of dreams. And, if we are to attain full Dream Awareness potential, we too must eventually receive the
revelations for ourselves that come with this experience. There have been many documented reports in books by serious
dream researchers that provide insight into the experience; but nothing can
replace the experiential learning and awareness that one receives first hand
after awaking from a night where this type of exploration was personally
experienced. There may also be a validated report from a trusted source
that reports they have visited us as we were in waking reality, while the other
person was in fact traveling in their “dream body”. This latter experience is
what I am sharing with you today. What I am sharing came
out of a small group of 5 (including self) individuals attending a Dream-Work
session at my house in May of this year (2016). Names have been changed for
privacy reasons. Relax and be ready to
be amazed if you have never considered these experiences possible. As you will
learn, this report will also include a great deal more important topics to be
discussed in future posts. The following was shared with the group by
Jay, regarding a dream that his father had involving Jay. This is what Jay
reported: “Upon
graduating from high school at the age of 18, I began to question my life
purpose and my own existence on this planet. Having to move out of the home
for the first time to attend the University of Florida fueled these questions
as it seemed I would have to make some life decisions in the coming months. I
would have to choose an academic major and career path which was problematic as
it wasn't clear to me what my true passion or interests were, especially one
where I would dedicate the rest of my life to. “I
truly felt then as I do now, that my potential as a human being was much
greater than any professional path offered through the traditional school
system. There had to be more in life for me, but it's important to note that
these feelings and thoughts were kept completely private. I did not risk
disclosing this information to anyone as I did not want to disappoint my
parents by revealing my lack of enthusiasm to commit to a traditional
professional career, nor my friends as I didn't think anyone would understand. “In
the first semester at UF, I could not suppress these questions and I secretly
decided to seek third party advice because I didn't have anyone to turn to. For
a few nights, alone in my dorm room, I researched psychic readers and
read hundreds of testimonials and reviews. From stories I've heard and other
life experiences, I believed then that they would be able to give me the
answers about my life purpose I so desperately wanted to hear. “I picked a
psychic and decided I would go see one when I was back home in Orlando, but noappointments
or any record of this decision existed. “Upon
return home that Friday night, my dad and I were catching up and watching TV in
our living room. During a commercial break he told me that he had a really
strange dream that week and that only I would be able to tell him if it was
true or not. He started off by describing my dorm room (which he's never been
in at this point) including how the furniture was placed and stated that in
this dream he was behind me looking at me research on my laptop at my desk. I
verified that his description was accurate. “He
then stated that while he watched me, a voice suddenly spoke to him but
there was no one else in the room but me. This voice was a happy voice with a
laughable tone. The voice told my father that “your son is trying to figure out
his purpose on Earth. He wants to know why he is here and what he is doing with
his life. He's looking at psychics to visit to give him this information.” My
father, not believing this was true, grew angry and yelled at the voice,
"This cannot be true. I know my son and he has no interest in such
things." “The
voice laughed and said “if you do not believe me, just ask your son, but tell
him if he is interested in the future do not go see these psychics. If he truly
wants to know his purpose he needs to see (as my father described) a very old sage.”
“When
my father was done replaying his dream, I couldn't help but smile at him and
confirm that it was 100% entirely
accurate. He was in shock and asked me several questions out of
disbelief that I would consider seeing a psychic and out of sadness that I
didn't disclose this information to him. “This
dream took place 6 years ago and I've tried to interpret it in many ways but
several things were clear to me. One, there was someone looking out for me
and in many ways I felt comforted that I was never alone even when I thought I
was. Two, my dad was used as a vessel to communicate a message to me that I
wasn't open to receiving myself. Three, knowing my fate or the wrong fate
from a potentially gifted psychic could have changed what was meant to be
as I was not ready to receive such information and this being was comfortable
with me not immediately knowing it. This experience allowed me to be
comfortable in not knowing or having preconceived frameworks about the
future. I never went to see a psychic after this moment or looked for an
"old sage" but I'll welcome that moment if I do cross paths with one.”
As you
can imagine, the discussions we all engaged in that night were very stimulating
and thought provoking; not the usual superficial talk about sports, Hollywood,
eating out experiences, complaining about the government or story-telling, that
sometimes dominate the discussions when friends get together. I
shared a few dreams of mine related to my consciousness being out-of-the-body
and the others shared big impact dreams from their personal dream time
experience. I also shared ideas about some of the other areas I had been
studying related to the “unknown reality” that too few of us explore. My input
included a very brief synopsis of the Seth material and recommendation for
follow up reading. Before we knew it, the time was late and we decided to break
off the dream sharing for the night since Jay and his friend had to drive back
to Tampa and the effect of the wine was making me very relaxed. After asking for permission to include Jay’s
experience in a future article I intended to write for my web site blog page, I
told Jay I would follow up with him when I was ready to write about that
specific topic. I was working on a list of previously selected topics that I
want to finish first. I knew that this experience Jay shared might be one of
those times where action after the dream would lead to potentially dramatic
changes in the relationship between Jay and his father. As you will see, I was correct, dramatic
changes did take place. As part
of what I shared with Jay later, were these following excerpts from the Seth
material. They are taken from an article I am working on discussing what Seth referred
to as the Inner Senses; abilities that to most people would be
considered psychic, that we all innately have, and that can be developed to a
large extent while still in physical reality. Experiential awareness of the
power of the dream world is included. The Seth material location references are
included in the forth coming article. In the words of an “old sage”, Seth……….. “In order to explore this unknown reality, you must
have a basic approval of yourself. You must trust your basic being, with
its characteristics and abilities. You have your characteristics and abilities
for a reason, in all of their unique combinations. “The concepts you will come to
understand in exploring the unknown reality will help expand your
consciousness, and the work itself will automatically pull your awareness out
of usual grooves, so that it bounces back and forth between the standardized
versions of the world you accept, and the unofficial versions that are sensed
but generally unknown to you. “A clear understanding or effective
exploration of the unknown reality can be achieved only when you are able to
leave behind the many “facts” that you have accepted as criteria of experience.
You will learn that your intellectual and your intuitional abilities will be
blended together and work together so that they almost seem to form a new
faculty. The immensities of your own abilities speak to you in your dreams. You
use your inner senses when you are in the dream state, and ignore them when you
are waking.” “The inner senses are equipped to
perceive data that is not physical. They are not deceived by the images that
you project in three dimensional realities. They can perceive physical objects.
Your physical senses are extensions of these inner methods of perception, and
after death it is upon these that you will rely. They are used in out-of-body
experiences. They operate constantly beneath normal waking consciousness…so
that you can even become familiar with the nature of perception after death,
now.” “The goals of each of you differ.
Some of you are embarked upon adventures that deal with intimate family
contact, deep personal involvement with children, or with other careers that
meet “vertically” with physical experience. For you, journeys into unknown
realities may be highly intriguing, and represent important sidelights to your
current preoccupations. This interest will be like an avocation to you, adding
great understanding and depth to your experience. “Each person is at his or her place.
You are where you are because your consciousness formed that kind of reality.
Your whole physical situation will be geared to it, and your neurological
structure will follow the habitual pattern. As you learn to throw aside old
concepts you will begin to experience the evidence for other levels of reality,
and become aware of other “messages” that you have previously blocked. “Your consciousness must
learn to organize itself in more than one fashion – or rather, you must be willingtoallowyour
consciousness to use itself more fully. It is not necessarily a matter of
trying to ignore the contents of the world, or to deny your physical
perception. Instead, the trick is to view the contents of the world in
different fashions, to free your physical senses from the restraints that your
mental conventions have placed on them. “In order to begin, you must
first become familiar with the workings of your own consciousness as it is
directed toward the physical world. You cannot know when you are in focus with
another reality if you do not even realize what it feels like to be in full
focus with your own. However, when you go traveling off into other systems you
cannot depend upon your habits. Often, they can only add to your mental
clutter, turning into “static” – so you must learn first of all what a
clear focus is. “You will not learn by trying to
escape your own reality, or by attempting to dull your senses. This can only
teach you what it means not to focus, and in whatever reality you visit, the
ability to focus clearly and well is a prerequisite. Once you learn how to
really tune in, then you will understand what it means to change the direction
of your focus.” After a
few months, when I was ready to include Jay’s story on my web site blog, I
communicated with Jay via e mail and asked about the deeper sharing that I
suspected was taking place with his father. By this time, Jay had decided on a
beginning career path and was relocated to Colorado and attending medical
school. The location made the change easy since Jay was thrilled to be in ski
country. I discovered that Jay’s father was an Engineer by degree and training
and was currently working in the real estate field. Jay
answered the questions I had and shared another fantastic dream related
experience between he and his father. Sit back and open your mind a little
further and suspend disbelief in versions of reality that you may have not
previously accepted. Again, this is the response I received back from Jay……. “So after
that experience with my farther I shared in May, it really sparked a journey
for me as it made me question a lot. So naturally I started asking him and his
older brother about significant dreams. They both have had dreams where they dreamt
about a former life with people who play different roles in this life. They
didn’t share this with me on their own. “My father
had another dream that year very similar to the first in that from a dream
traveling experience he was watching my brother walk down a road drunkenly in
the middle of the night.Dad was 100 miles away in Orlando and called
me in the middle of the night feeling that my brother was endangered and asked
me to check up on him. My brother and I both were living in Gainesville, FL at the time. I did follow up immediately, going to where my dad
suggested, checking on my brother. I was again astounded that my father had
received this information from the dream state.
My brother was indeed several
miles out of town walking lost, drunkenly in the night. “My father
and I definitely discussed our views of reality more frequently after his dream
about me on a regular basis. I asked a lot of questions about his dreams and
how he distinguished them. He described dreams about his past lives
and dreams about my brother and me. They
were all dreams that he felt were so real that they were unmistakable and very
different than other dreams. “As I went
down a more spiritual path we talked about different philosophies and seemingly
paranormal activities. Last year before applying to medical school there was
one night where we both had a dream. He told that in his dream he saw my
future and my wife. He told me that I was going to medical school in a cold
place and there was an older girl who I ended up marrying. He said he saw my
wedding and my children and anticipated future struggles with my wife and me
both being doctors and trying to manage a family. “I thought
that he might be making this up to fit his vision for me. My father really did
not want me to leave Florida for medical school, but was adamant that he was
not making it up. After that, I told him about my dream that night. It was
short but very emotional because I woke up feeling very confused about what was
real and what wasn’t. “In my
dream I was walking up a wooden flight of stairs in a different house to a girl
in what was our bedroom. I don’t remember her face, it’s like it was blurred
out, but I remember that I loved her a lot; so much that I could feel
butterflies in my chest. All I could remember for sure was her long wavy black
hair. My dad described my wife as having the same features. I can’t verify this
story but I thought it was a strange dream and the fact that it happened on the
same night as my dad’s does raise an eyebrow or two. “I’ve had
no other big dreams other than daily dreams I generally make sense of. I know
that I am meant to be out here as life is falling into place for me here, so
I’m sure I will have a journey with some good stories to share with you at some
point in the future. I wish you the best John, Jay” Well, if you can
suspend disbelief about other views of reality than the conventional one you
have been taught, you can open up a whole new world of exploration for you. It
is there waiting for you to agree to the journey and to give yourself
permission to take the steps necessary. If you read all of the material on my
website and in the various blog postings (25 with this one) you might possibly
be inspired to take the first step. I think what I have
written about here is self explanatory as far as the dreams of Jay’s father is
concerned. There were many other ideas and concepts mentioned that may be new
to you. At some point in other articles/blogs these will also be written about
and discussed. In the future I will share my own story about a “Voice” in one
of my past dreams; for it resulted in me doing what I do. I will leave you with
some more thoughts from the Seth material on dreams and dreaming. From: The
Nature of the Psyche, by Jane Roberts – Session 787. In Seth’s words…….. “….There is
obvious differences between what you think of as waking and dream events. You
differentiate definitely between the two, making great efforts to see that they
are neatly divided. In your world, conventional and practical sanity and
physical manipulation are dependent upon your ability to discriminate,
accepting as real only those events with which others more or less agree. “These
so-called real events, however, have changed radically through the ages. “Once”
the gods walked the earth, and waged battles in the skies and seas. People who
believed such things were considered sane – and were sane, for the accepted
framework of events was far different from your own. In historic terms the
changing nature of accepted events provides more than, say, a history of
civilization, but mirrors the ever-creative nature of the psyche. “All of the
elements of physical experience at any given time are present in the dream
state. Practically speaking, however, the species accepts certain portions of
dream reality as its so-called real events at any particular time, and about
those specialized events it forms its “current” civilization. “Historically
speaking, early men dreamed of airplanes and rocket ships. For that matter,
their natural television operated better in some ways than your technological
version, for their mental images allowed them to perceive events in neighboring
areas or in other portions of the world. They could not simply press a button
to bring this about, however. The psychic and biological mechanisms were there,
permitting the species to know, particularly in times of stress or danger, what
normally unperceived events might threaten survival. “But in the
dream state, then as now, all such issues were contemporary, acting as models
from which the species then chose the practical events that formed its physical
experience. To that extent, a study of the dream state gives you some important
insights as to the nature of the psyche. The dream also serves as a drama of
interweaving probabilities, a springboard from which events emerge in all
directions. Each aspect of a dream, while having some personal meaning, is also
your version of a symbol that stands for a corresponding kind of event, but in
a different level of reality entirely. “…. And on that note, I will bring this discussion to a close
even though the dreams discussed here are rich with other important ideas that
will be written about in the future. If
you want to learn more about what has been discussed here regarding your
consciousness traveling from the dream state, read books by the following
authors: Oliver Fox, Robert Monroe, and William Buhlman. Also Robert Moss’s
writing about Harriet Tubman in his book The Secret History of Dreaming,
Dreamways of the Iroquois, by Robert Moss, several places in the Seth
material by Jane Roberts, and Rick Stack’s book Out-Of-Body Adventures,
Have an Out-of-Body Experience in 30 Days, by Keith Harary and Pamela
Weintraub to name a few. Study, intention, suspension of disbelief and faithful dream
journaling will help you have the experience yourself. At another time, I will
discuss consciousness traveling from the waking state also, as in remote
viewing from waking consciousness. Until
next time, I hope you experience creative and mind expanding dreams. Postscript If you have read this
post completely to this point, I would be surprised if you are not in some way
motivated to start your journey toward richer and deeper dream experiences.
There were many important topics brought up in these dream reports that I will
cover in future posts. These dreams were incredible in their own right, being
examples of how our dreaming consciousness can travel through time and space
while our physical body is maintained by our body consciousness. Unknown to
most people, this likely takes place every night without us having any waking
awareness of it the next morning. The dreams are also
examples of the beneficial, concerned, empathetic psychic connections between
parents and children. This type of psychic connection can exist between a
dreamer and a non family member as well. Or, it can exist between the dreamer’s
“higher self”, or soul, and the dreamer’s consciousness that is carried over to
the waking state. Pertinent to the
dreams discussed here, I will share another credible dream with psychic
dimensions. In the past, a friend told me about their grandmother waking from a
dream about a family member being in danger, with their house on fire. Upon
awaking the grandmother immediately called the relative, waking them up, to
tell them of the danger – And Grandmother was correct; the relative escaped to
safety. You may have missed a
very important fact that is inherent in these examples shared with me by Jay.
That is the fact that far too many people of all walks of life are reluctant to
share their deepest levels of beliefs and experiences, especially dream
experiences, with other family members, close friends, or acquaintances. This intentional
sharing in a group of individuals taking part in a Dreamwork group, or what you
might call a Dream Circle is slowly becoming more popular, albeit only on a
small scale so far. This was a very
common practice with most all indigenous cultures. It is a practice that was
brainwashed out of us by Western culture’s religions, education systems and
institutions over the past 2000 years or so. The brainwashing continues today. By sharing at the
deepest levels our dream beliefs and experiences, people can be brought
together with great understanding of each other and knowledge of the inherent
commonalities that we all share. This always brings people closer together. Imagine if this dream
sharing activity could be increased on a large scale, even on an international
scale, between leaders in all significant institutions that publicize, and
propagandize worldviews to the masses. Image the understanding that would be
fostered. It would soon become a part of the awareness at a conscious level
that wars are not the best solution to the untold misunderstandings existing
between people of differing backgrounds with differing worldviews and beliefs;
too often limiting or false beliefs. Each of you who read
this can do your part by resolving to begin keeping a personal dream journal
and initiate the activity of meeting regularly with a small group of friends with
the purpose of dream study. There is an almost unlimited amount of material on
the internet and books that can give you an intellectual understanding of the
dream world of others, but this is not a replacement for experiential learning
that takes place when you take part in a group with a qualified facilitator
that can help you. My personal journey,
through experiential learning and experimentation, attracted to me the
knowledge needed and the wisdom of many great teachers through their writings.
To name only a few: Patricia Garfield, Gayle Delaney, Jeremy Taylor, Ann
Faraday, Jane Roberts (Seth), Robert Moss, Edgar Cayce, Fritz Perls, Carl Jung,
Harold Sherman, Henry Reed, Robert Vander Castle, Stanley Krippner, Montague
Ullman, Upton Sinclair, Ken Keyes, Joseph Murphy, Richard Bach, JB Rhine,
William James, Robert Waggoner, Ramon Stevens (Alexander), Napoleon Hill, Brian
Weiss, Serge King, George Leonard, Deepak Chopra, Neal Donald Walsh, John Bradshaw,
Paul Pearsall, Ingo Swann, Joseph Mc Moneagle, and of course, others not
mentioned here. Since it is reported
by many great teachers that all of the probable events that end up in physical
reality are first presented and rehearsed in the dream state, an understanding
of how physical reality experience is created will be a byproduct. But, you
must learn to recognize and understand your own personal dream symbols and
metaphors. Most often the answers will not be found in a dream symbol
dictionary. Not all dreams are as direct in their messaging as the dreams
reported by Jay. His dad’s awareness and the level of his consciousness
development are obviously in the advanced stage of a mature soul. © John W. Robinson, Dream

Dreams Can
Be a Writer’s Best Friend In a small and delightful little book titled Purple Fables (Quartet), by Ingo Swann, he shares fantastic dream experiences he had in April 1993 that not only delivered the title of the book he was to write, but the outline of the quartets that would subsequently be delivered on four consecutive nights. This true story will open your minds to the unlimited resource available to all of us, if only we accept the possibility and believe in the validity of our “greater being”. I will share more about Ingo Swann in the future. In Ingo’s own words:
In the forward to the book Ingo expressed that he was dumbfounded, transported, and thrilled beyond compare at having this experience. I find this somewhat amusing considering some other experiences that Ingo has written and talked about. More about Ingo’s adventures will be covered in the article I am writing about the inner senses. Being a long time student of research into the subject of Dreams, and having 45 + years of experiential learning, and journaling of dreams, I have come to expect and accept magical experiences happening during sleep, when our dream activity is almost unceasingly communicated to us. Upon awaking, we often carry with us in our mind, the memory of these magical happenings. They can be yours as well. Throughout the course of history, there have been documented reports of great literature being received from the dream state. The number of reports is too great to ignore this experience, which validates the importance of dreams, not only in literature, but in all human endeavors within our civilizations. Some other significant examples of literary works that came from dreams, to list just a few, are:
Are there any stories in your subconscious, waiting to be dumped? There may be. Only by believing in the validity of your dreams, and opening your mind to new possibilities will you discover hidden treasures. If not stories, then maybe songs, art, musical tunes, new ideas, inventions, directions, paths to follow, revelations, scientific discoveries, communication from distant loved ones, premonitions of the future, etc.; the basket of dream information in your subconscious may be unlimited. Be persistent in your dream journaling and sharing your dreams with others. This will help you look deeper into the validity of the night time activity, and its importance. Below, I will share some general wisdom from the Seth material, on the subject of dreams, in Seth’s words, as communicated through Jane Roberts. Transforming Politics Through Divine Grace
Posted on August 8, 2016 at 12:35 PM |
![]() |
Is There a
Place in Politics for Divine Grace? Before you read this post, if you
are even interested in doing so, I will help you to understand my perspective
of this topic. First, I am not referring to anyone’s specific religion when I
use the word divine. Although some attributes of one’s religion may contain
elements of the divine, claiming to be religious does not mean you are aligned
with the divine in a much more universal sense as described here. It has nothing
to do with morality or judgment. And grace is not something dished out to
deserving people by some capricious God. What is Divine Grace then, and can
it play a part in politics? In the book What Ever Happened to Divine Grace,
by Ramon Stevens, “Divine Grace is the creative, motivating power or energy of
your life and the entire universe. Divine means the source of this creative,
motivating energy is beyond your normal ideas regarding the physical universe.”
It is therefore meta-physical. Meta in English is from the Greek
preposition and prefix meta (μετά-) meaning “after” or “beyond”. In this
sense, metaphysical means a divine concept beyond the normal interpretation of
physical reality as perceived by the 5 physical senses. When I first started studying
Physics, the subject as a scientific body of knowledge was defined in my first
text as “the fundamental science of that natural world.” Physics was understood
by studying the proofs of certain theorems that then became laws using the
language of mathematics and experimental observations. Of course, the natural world was
meant to include only what could be sensed by the 5 physical senses that humans
use to perceive the world. Any phenomenon that was “beyond” that definition;
i.e., the metaphysical, simply was not true, not natural, and did not exist.
End of discussion. This was classical physics. The phenomenal world of factual
direct experience, no matter how revealing or how powerful, just simply was not
a valid scientific experience. Contrast that worldview with the 21
century quantum physicists, theoretical physicists, and astrophysicists who are
grappling with using mathematics to maybe prove the existence of parallel
universes, multidimensional existences, that time really does not exist, that
space is really curved, that we may live in a virtual reality of another beings
“video game”; or even that we may have counterpart personalities living
parallel lives in some other dimension. Out–of-the-box thinking that came
about through quantum physics changed everything in the scientific worldview
and is still changing it. Topics that were ignored once because science had no
explanation for them are now being discussed in metaphysical terminology and
trying to be proven mathematically. There are more mind boggling
concepts than those I have listed below. I am not making this up. If
you want to be up to date on modern thought in the world of Physics, just sit
down in front of the marvelous technological inventions of flat screen TV or
your computer screen and watch the latest full season of the Discovery Science
Channel series Through The Worm Hole narrated by that great actor who
has played god in the cinema, Morgan Freeman. You will see that the definition of
Physics is clearly being redefined from what it was in that first text I
studied in 1961. It is certainly a revolution in thinking that will lead to a
completely revised worldview. My opinion is summed up in a quote from the book The
Evolution of Physics, authored by Albert Einstein and Leopold Infield: “Science is not, and will never be a closed book. Every
important advance brings new questions. Every development reveals, in the long
run, new and deeper difficulties”. I will add that the “difficulty”
arises because of the reluctance of those trying to hold on to their old
outmoded worldviews, not wanting to change beliefs that would upset their
“apple cart” of understanding. A similar scenario of changes as described above
for science, hold true for religious beliefs and worldviews as well. The great divide and the enormous
wedge driven between the two big political parties, by the right leaning
religious conservatives, by intent, has created a situation that will not be as
easily reconciled as the dilemma described above regarding scientific beliefs
and how they change . What both the old ideas of thinking,
regarding religion and science have done, working jointly, is to deny any
existence of divine grace without judgment, is to proliferate fear, war,
destruction of Nature, and a feeling by a majority, that they may be living a
life without valid meaning or purpose, based on what has been experienced in
the past. So, as a field of applied physics,
Meta Physics could be described as the study of the laws of the universe that
describe the creative and motivating power, or energy, of all life, ALL That
Is, anywhere in the entire universe or universes including, but not limited to,
our incomplete understanding of what we call physical reality. There just may be a Physics that
applies to the Unknown reality, just as there is a Physics that applies to
physical reality; a reality that some physicist says is an illusion anyway. One of the most profound laws of
physics, e=mc², formulated by Albert Einstein, says that there is an
equivalency existing between matter and energy. The magnitude of this
equivalency is factored by the speed of light, c, squared. This light
speed factor is an enormous number using conventional thinking. The speed of
light is approximately 186,000 miles per second of clock time. That speed
squared is 34,596,000,000. Therefore the factor in the
equivalency is 34 billion 596 million. To be more precise, the speed is if the
“particle” of light was traveling in a vacuum. This is no small potatoes.
You may feel I have gotten off track a little. In reality I just want you to
try to get a perspective of the unthinkable amount of energy contained in the
matter in our visible universe only. How this energy was originally
created, no one knows and I suspect, probably never will. What is or was
the source of this energy? Science only explains the source as a miracle
(of course they don’t use that word) they call the Big Bang. One instant there was no matter at
all, and the next instant, all the matter of the universe came into existence
and started expanding very rapidly and then coalescing. Since the originating
source of all this enormous amount of energy is beyond any physical explanation
science can offer, it must truly be metaphysical, or beyond the physical, this
puts it in the realm of the Divine. Again, according to the full
definition of Divine Grace in Ramon Stevens’ book: “Divine Grace is the motivating power of your life and
universe. Divine means the source is beyond your physical universe; grace means
that the divinity rides on a loving, buoyant intent which seeks always to carry
you to your own greatest fulfillment.”…There is a greater level of wisdom at
work in our lives that is a claiming voice. It is the voice of Divine Grace.” No one can deny that energy is real
and exists. Everyone does experience energy in many forms. The law of physics
in the physical world known as the law of the conservation of energy tell us
that energy can neither be created nor destroyed, but that it only can be
transformed from form to another, or transferred from one object to
another; meaning that the expression or manifestation of it can be
altered. One of the greatest unknowns in
astronomy today is an understanding of the process of how galaxies form. There
are theories, but no certainties. The galaxy-formation process has not stopped.
Our universe continues to evolve. Where does all the energy that condenses into
matter come from, if energy can be neither created nor destroyed? Just what was the source of all this
energy that scientist say produced a “big bang” with its resulting clouds of
matter in the form of cosmic dust? Science comes up with theories about what
took place after the theoretical big bang, but leave the discussion about what
caused the big bang up to the philosophers and theologian. Remember the above definition of
Divine; Divine means the source of this creative, motivating energy is beyond
our normal ideas regarding the physical universe. It is therefore meta-physical.
The idea of Grace implies that there is intention associated with this
explosion of creative energy. So, creation happens by intention, whether it is
the creation of a universe, a mass event, or the creation of an individual’s
personal reality. At our level of understanding in the
beginning of the 21 century, we can only theorize about who or what is at the
source of creating that energy. Since there is a “something” acting as the
source, we can’t really be so sure that energy is being conserved unless the
source is a part of the system. If we only consider what we see and
understand as the physical universe, we cannot say for sure that the source of
this physical universe supplies a limited amount of energy or not. We would
have to consider the whole system including the source as a part of the system,
and on and on. Maybe, the so called Law of Conservation of Energy is really
just a working theory about energy in the physical world, but does not apply to
the metaphysical universe, the unknown reality. As sure as the scientist are about
so many things, they still tell us now at the beginning of the 21 century that
the apparent measurable amount of matter and energy in the universe does not
make sense; does not add up, according to previous and current accepted theory.
They theorize that in order for the universe to remain being held together,
approximately 70- 95% of all matter and energy is “unknown”. It’s somewhere
“out there”, they say; even all around us. If it’s out there, where does,
or did, it come from? I think you begin to understand the quote above
from the book by Einstein: “Science is not, and will never be a closed book. Every
important advance brings new questions. Every development reveals, in the long
run, new and deeper difficulties”. Since science has never been able to
explain the source of this creative energy or the matter that coalesced, they
have held to the idea and theory of a Big Bang. Maybe it is time that they
explore what meta physical philosophy has been saying with vigor for the past
60 years or so, and before in some ancient writings; that energy in the form of
consciousness gives rise to matter by intention, in its many and varied forms;
from the atom and molecule to a biological structure as complicated as humans
and the human brain. If so, Consciousness then, may
not be an accidental random happening that arises from non conscious matter by
accident, but that matter is actually formed by intentional consciousness
manipulating energy and slowing it’s frequency to the point that it appears
solid. This discussion cannot begin to
explain - who, what, where, when, and why of consciousness. For some
insight, I can direct you to that great resource of knowledge and wisdom know
as the Seth material. The Seth material is a collection of books authored
by Jane Roberts and they can be discovered by a few moments of Google searches.
So, how is this “greater level of
wisdom at work in our lives that is a calming voice - the voice of Divine
Grace,” Showing up in the 21 century? It is showing up in the emerging
revolution in ideas, thoughts and actions in our politics, our religions, our
economies, our beliefs about war as a means of solving problems between
nations, and our very ideas about what is reality according to science. The voice is in the form of impulses
of awareness that some change is needed and that real and lasting change begins
from within – A belief that the outer reality is just a reflection of what is
collectively within each individual. The real change starts within us. To the person grounded in
institutionally taught, conservative, fundamental, “right-leaning” religious
ideas, the concept of divine grace means a belief in an objective creator “God”
outside and above them somewhere in some place they call heaven. This father
figure as projected by them is a judgmental character willing to condemn them
to eternal misery, or slaughter them in vicious ways, for not living according
to certain rules which have been projected onto “him” throughout history. They attribute to “him”, this
God, the human qualities of jealousy, revenge, both hate and
love, disdain for the physical body, disdain for impulsive thought,
submission to male authority, and blind conformity to other than self. This “God”
even has children that he likes better than other children, and doesn’t mind
killing the opponents of those chosen as favorites. I am not referring to any
one religion here, but to all fundamentalist conservative religious sects that
hold that belief. The fundamentalist extreme
conservative ideas about reality manifest in a constant struggle between the
powers of good and the powers of evil. Not only is there grace and destruction
from above, there is divine destruction allowed from below in some where called
Hell, under control of a power objectified as Satan, where one may suffer
an eternity for not pleasing their objectified “God”. All good comes from
God and all not good comes from the Devil/Satan, an all powerful force of evil. They cannot understand these ideas
in terms of metaphor. In this worldview, one must love God and at the
same time fear God. And their greatest fear is that God will snuff them out for
not living according to the rules some other humans have set for them. They
fear they could be snuffed out or killed and be faced with an eternal
punishment in Hell for their mistakes, or failure to “miss the mark” (the
original meaning of the origin of the word sin). So, the two main western worldviews
that have dominated our past culture are the religious one described above, or
the scientific one described above that says life came about through random
accidental happenings, without real purpose or design and the meaning of
existence is just to propagate more random beings devoid of meaning and
purpose. Only the strongest and fittest survive in a process of evolution as
progressing in a linear fashion. It is in the scientific group that most
people who label themselves atheist fall. A critical survey of the world
events and the continued destruction of the earth, might lead you to think
neither worldview is working all that well in allowing the greatest fulfillment
of every person, with the same degree of fair and just consideration. The
impact and consequences of these worldviews can be seen in our politics,
economies, environment and our culture. For the next year, and beyond if
changes don’t take place, these worldviews will be driving the political
narrative. Even when science thinks they have
“closed the book” on a subject based on how definitely the theories are
presented, Einstein’s quote reference above proves right. Accepted theories
portrayed as facts in education are still just theories. Recent news about the
Rosetta space craft discoveries is evidence, that the book will never be
closed. See the referenced link below. “The comet being studied by Europe’s Rosetta spacecraft
contains molecular oxygen, a surprising discovery that will force scientists to
rethink details of how the solar system formed.” But still, scientists insist that
consciousness was a random, illogical, mutational arising that occurred out of
matter in a biological form. Most scientists cannot even look at the
possibility that consciousness came first and gave rise to matter. They are so
sure of their theory that they accept it as fact. Consider the ideas below from the
Seth material as contained in another blog on this site. First, I have a
couple of suggestions that may help in understanding this material. The first
is to let your mind be “open” for new possibilities and to “suspend disbelief”, in the
impossibility of what is being shared, if only for a while. Allow for the possibility of these
ideas to be valid, even as the other “officially” accepted religious and
scientifically based views about reality, which many people have held on to,
were assumed valid and not questioned by most people for so long. Indeed, some
beliefs currently held may have to be changed or eliminated in order for the
deeper implications of this material to sink in. Allow for the importance of not only
our intellect, but also the importance of our dreams, impulses and intuitions
that speak to us of a greater inner reality that we can indeed experience and
practically use in our lives to guide us and to help us solve practical
problems. So, let us begin with an alternate
view of reality as explained in much detail in the collected volumes of the
Seth material published by Jane Roberts (and her spouse Robert Butts) and New
Awareness Networks Inc. that took up the continued publication of previously
unpublished material upon Jane’s death in 1984. The original manuscripts of Jane’s
are kept available today through Amber-Allen Publishing Inc. They are also
available at Yale University. Yale University has in its archives, copies of
all of the volumes of material that was produced over a 20 year period by Jane
Roberts. Jane has been referred to as one of
the 20th century’s greatest mystics and psychics, who lived at a time when the
material was shunned by most religious, scientific and educational
institutions. With my paraphrasing added in some places for clarity, let us
contemplate on what Seth shared with the world through Jane and Rob; and Jane’s
ESP classes that she taught for about 11 years in Elmira New York. “Consciousness
Is the Vitalizing Force behind the Physical Universe. There is a basic unit of
consciousness, that expressed, will not be broken down, as once it was thought
that an atom was the smallest unit and could not be broken down. The basic
unit of consciousness obviously is not physical. It contains within
itself innately infinite prospects of expansion, development and
organization; yet within its self always maintains the kernel of its own
individuality. Despite whatever organizations it becomes a part of, or how it
mixes with other such basic units, its own identity is not annihilated. The basic
unit of consciousness (CU for consciousness unit) is the source of all other
kinds of consciousnesses, and the varieties of its activities are infinite. It
is aware energy, identified within its self as it’s self, not “personified”,
but “awarized”. The basic
unit of consciousness (CU) combines with others of its kind, forming then units
of consciousness – as atoms and molecules combined to form various structures.
This CU is endowed with unpredictability, which allows for infinite patterns
and fulfillment. The
organizations of consciousness “grow” even as cells grow into organs of the
body and delivery systems within the body. Each
“particle” of consciousness is dependent on every other. The strength of one
adds to the strength of all. The weakness of one weakens the whole. The energy
of one recreates the whole. The striving of one increases the potentially
of ALL THAT IS, and this places great responsibility upon every other
consciousness.” As used in the Seth material, All That
Is, is the GOD concept, but described in an entirely different way than
conventional thinking. “Consciousness
forms its own organizations and psychic interactions, such as precognition,
clairvoyance and telepathy at all levels. Any
consciousness automatically tries to express itself in all probable
directions, and does so. In so doing it will experience ALL THAT IS through
its own being, though interpreted, of course, through that familiar reality of
its own. The structure of probabilities deals with parallel experience
on all levels. Your
consciousness picks and chooses to accept as real, the results of, and
ramifications of, only certain overall purposes, desires, or intents. You
follow these through a time structure. Your focus allows other just-as-legitimate
experience to become invisible or not felt. Consciousness
is able to hold its own sense of identity by accepting one probability, one
physical life, for example, and maintaining its identity through a lifetime. From the
seemingly “chaotic” bed of your dreams, springs your ordered daily organized
action. In your reality, the behavior of your consciousness and of your
molecules is highly connected. Your type of consciousness presupposes a
molecular consciousness, and your kind of consciousness is inherent in
molecular consciousness – inherent within your system, but not basically
predictable.” Now, a quick review of the CU’s, or basic units of
consciousness according to the Seth material:
Some additional advanced attributes of the CU’s are:
It seems to me, that these CU’s
postulated by Seth In the 1960’s, may be the “God particle” that physicists
have been searching for, and theorize they may have discovered through
high energy collisions in the CERN particle accelerator, near Geneva,
Switzerland, used to do research into the basic structure of matter. It is
irony that the new ideas from quantum physics seem very similar to these ideas
from the Seth material. To grasp hold of the above ideas is
to allow an entirely new worldview into your belief system. A worldview that
supersedes the traditional religious and scientific world views described
above. It is not a world view based on revenge and punishment or accidental
random happenings, but one based on loving intention for the value fulfillment
of all creation with equal opportunity as it is discovered individually and
collectively, that through the power of your own beliefs, thoughts, intentions,
and expectations, you create the reality and the events you experience. This is true in physical reality as
it is in the unknown reality, the meta-physical reality. So, the current world of global
politics is the one that has been collectively created by all on earth as the
UN-manifested probabilities are manifested and played out by all the actors
(all of us). Real change starts from within with new beliefs about a
famous statement by a great teacher: “Love your neighbor as you love yourself”, and according to
Seth, “Your neighbor is any other person on the face of the planet”, given
inalienable rights for their own value fulfillment, by their very birth. If this writing has left you with
more questions than answers, it is because the answers are within. And it is
within that you must look. Not to another authority figure. You, and all others are a part of All That Is, and All That
Is, is a gestalt that is a part of you, while being far greater and much more.
Is
there room in your politics for the above statements? There
is much more on this alternate worldview I speak of in the collected volumes of
the material published by Jane Roberts and her husband Robert Butts. The
collected works are generally referred to as the Seth material. © Dec. 19, 2015 by John W. Robinson,
Dream Awareness Network Postscript: From the book The Return Of The Prophet by Hajjar
Gibran (2008). The great uncle of Hajjar was Kahlil Gibran. “The Prophet” once again speaks through
Hajjar. “You were
born in grace’s garden at the dawn of creation. Nothing more than your
graciousness, can be added to the depth and breadth of grace’s splendor. Grace
speaks in soft colors and caresses your senses with benevolent whispers. She serves
up a glorious banquet and does her best to awaken you for her feast. Grace
carries you always homeward and forever would lead your feet to dance on the
very ground that will claim them. It is your
privilege to star in the sacred play of light and shadow that was staged to
celebrate your birth. Your innate polarity is projected into the presence of
all that appears before you. You may
suffer in discord with your reflections, but prior to the shadow play, the
light of spiritual grace shines eternally upon you. Whether in
peace or conflict, you meet what you bring; this recognition initiates your
enlightenment. The measure of your attainment is demonstrated by your emanation
of grace through scenes of adversity. The grace
you are after is before you always, but in fear of need you deny it. The
illusion of need hangs like a veil over your eyes. To worry of want while in
this garden of plenty is to cast yourself into a sequel of lack. Loosen the
knot of need and remove fear’s blindfold that you may see this extravagant
playhouse through the eyes of the preeminent Player. Grace
overfilled your cup long before the fear of want was conceived. Patiently she
waits with delight for those precious moments when you pause to notice.” END |

21st. Century
Politics: The Struggle between Fear and Reason Part One:
Exploring the psychology of the “Far Right”. In
one of my
previous posts (on the Face Book page Dream Awareness Network), I
brought up the topics of fear, anger, and hatred in politics. I think
the recent Republican Political Party has
been a shining example of these detrimental emotions. This is not to say
that
the Democratic Party is void of them. Only that the Republican leaders
have
been the shining stars in the politics of fear. It cannot be more evident than in the last debate on December 15, 2015. In this post
and future ones, I will explore the reasons for this in regard to the Republicans
leading their charges. I will look for the reasons why they display such fear
and paranoia. What are they afraid of? This post gives some underpinnings to
reflect on. Othert post will deal more directly with the fears of the “Far Right”
in general and how this influences political ideology. And then I will move on
to the “Far Left”- I will do the same for the far left liberals. Why have they
been so reluctant to bring about even greater positive changes in our national
climate? What are they afraid of? How do they help foster creating a victim
mentality? Through this
ongoing analysis I hope to show why this country needs to support Bernie Sanders at
this point in our experiment with Democracy.
Yes, it is still, I believe, in the experimental stage, not yet fully
realized. Maybe, it is Bernie Sanders that can take us one step closer. It will
not be a “piece of cake”. Hopefully, the outcome will be that after the radical
changes, we end with political institutions that are a blend of the rational
and intuitive powers of Mind. The Nixon
Example The sessions
deal with frightened people, idealism, and interpretations of good and evil. It
deals with the “Watergate Affair”. This moment in our national history happened
in 1972. If you are part of our country’s largest voting bloc, the New
Millennials, you may not know the history.
This synopsis will give you an idea of what happened. A thorough
understanding can easily be discovered by researching the topic. The Watergate
Affair was brought to us by the conservative Republican President Richard M.
Nixon. For more details read the article referenced by the link at the end of
this post. From the book The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events:
“Let us look briefly at that entire affair, remembering some of our earlier
questions: When does an idealist turn into a fanatic, and how? And how can the
desire to do good bring about catastrophic results? The President at the time
and through all of his life before was at heart a stern, repressed idealist of
a rather conventionally religious kind. He believed in an idealized good, while
believing most firmly and simultaneously that “man” was fatally flawed,
filled with evil, and more naturally given to bad rather than good intent. He
believed in the absolute necessity of power, while convinced at the same time
that he did not possess it; and further, he believed that in the most basic
terms the individual was powerless to alter the devastating march of evil and corruption that he saw within the
country, and in all other countries in the world. No matter how much power he
achieved, it seemed to him that others had more- other people, other groups,
other countries – but their power he saw as evil. While he believed in
the existence of an idealized good he felt that the wicked were powerful and
the good were weak and without vigor. He
concentrated on the vast gulf that seemed to separate the idealized good and
the practical, ever-pervading corruption that in his eyes grew by leaps and
bounds. He saw himself as just. Those who did not agree with him, he saw as
moral enemies. Eventually it seemed to him that he was surrounded by the
corrupt, and that any means at his disposal was justified to bring down
those who would threaten the presidency or the state. It
is obvious to most others that such paranoid views are not based on mass fact. Your President at the time, had at his command vast information, so that he was
aware of many groups and organizations that did not agree with his policies. He
used those as in other circumstances a paranoid might use the sight of a police
car to convince himself that he was being pursued by the police, or the FBI or
whatever. The President felt threatened – and not only personally threatened,
for he felt that the good for which he stood in his own mind was in peril. And
again, since the idealized good seemed too remote and difficult to achieve, any
means was justified. Those who followed him, in the Cabinet and so forth
possessed the same kind of characteristics to some degree or another. I will interject here the actions
of Republican President George W. Bush, 30 years later in 2003, who openly and
publicly stated that he heard the “Voice of God” tell him to invade the
non-threatening country of Iraq. The consequences of his actions
resulted in the deaths of 6,700 U.S. servicemen, the maiming of approximately
40,000 more that came back from the experience with missing arms, legs, or eye
sight, unstable mental conditions, and consequential suicides that continue to
this day. There were also hundreds of thousands of Iraqi people who were killed;
men, women and children, who continue to suffer today from depleted uranium
poisoning spewed out by the weapons used in that war of aggression. Research the facts for yourself if
you do not believe me. This summary does not even consider the deaths resulting
still today from the consequential actions of that decision in 2003 (as in
terrorists wanting to “get even” through the development of ISIS). What karmic entanglement will the
U.S. be in store for in the future if it does not change its destructive
direction? I have not even brought up the environmental impact that we may
experience because of the G. W. Bush’s administrations decisions, or lack of
them regarding the environment. He was supported by many Republican congressional
persons; since they cannot accept the fact that we humans, as a part of Nature,
are having a detrimental impact on all of Nature. I think many of the supporters and
those dedicated to the Bush administration ideals believed they were taking the
right actions, according to their deeply held beliefs that were rooted in fear.
The power of fear can feed irrationality and destructive behaviors. One must
look within themselves to discover a power greater than fear. It is not external. We have forsaken our roots. The
window of opportunity may pass us by if dramatic changes in our political
system are not implemented. Some believe we may be at a decisive moment in our
history. Back to the Watergate affair from The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events ... “So
how can the well-meaning idealist know if their good intent will lead to some
actualization? How can he or she know, if this good intent might
in fact lead to disastrous conditions? When does an idealist turn into a fanatic? Look
at it this way: If someone tells you that pleasure is wrong and tolerance is
weakness, and that you must follow this or that dogma blindly in obedience, and
if you are told this is the only right road toward the idealized good, then
most likely you are dealing with a fanatic. If you are told to kill for the
sake of peace, you are dealing with someone who does not understand peace or
justice. If you are told to give up your free will, you are dealing with a
fanatic!” I will interject again with my experience
of the last Bush administration. Their mantra, which was also used by the
Hitler Nazi regime (See the relevant post on the Blog Page:Language, Words
and Thoughts; A Journey From Beliefs To Action: What It Means To Be A Liberal. It is under the category Politics, World Events and Dreams.) “You are either with us or against
us,” was the Bush mantra used to intimidate all opposition to the so called “Bush
Doctrine” and their destructive plans. It seems that the Homeland Security
Project was also implemented in order to take away many of your freedoms and to
create a state of perpetual fear. Those
who spoke out against the administration were treated with suspect. I believe
this is why I was put on the “do not fly watch list” during the entire Bush
administration after they started to implement their plans. I had been
outspoken in various communications to many people as being in opposition to
the policies. Air travel was important to my career. I was not removed from
that list until Obama was elected President. …Now back to the excerpt from INME. …”Through
your mundane conscious choices, you affect all events of your world, so that
the mass world is the result of multitudinous individual choices. You could not
make choices at all if you did not feel impulses to do this or that, so the
choices usually involve you in making decisions between various impulses. Impulses
are urges toward action. Some are conscious and some are not.” … …”To
change the world for the better, you must begin by changing your own
life. There is no other way. You begin by accepting your own worth as a part of
the universe, and by granting every other being that same recognition. You
begin by honoring life in all its forms. You begin by changing your thoughts
toward your contemporaries, your country, your family, and your working
companions. If the ideal of loving your neighbor like yourself seems remote,
you will at least absolutely refrain from killing your neighbor – and
your neighbor is any other person on the face of the planet! You cannot
love your neighbor, in fact, until you love yourself, and if you believe that
it is wrong to love yourself, you are indeed unable to love anyone else.” To reduce the risk of cerebral overload, I will finish this post on the
politics of fear with the next post. As a teaser, here is an excerpt to be in the
next post. It is from the book What Happened to Divine Grace?, 1988,
by Ramon Stevens. “…How
then, can you distinguish between a legitimate idea or philosophy and one based
on fear? Fear provides two give away clues for the discerning mind to detect. A philosophy based on fear,
however, latches onto a host of different ideas, some of them opposing, in its
desperate attempt to camouflage its true reality. When you speak with someone
whose beliefs seem to cancel each other out in contradictory shambles, know
that you are speaking not to reason but to fear. The
second clue fear provides is that if a philosophy based upon it is allowed full
expression and played out, it will invariably bring about precisely the
opposite result of that which it claims to support. Why? Because as we have
seen, an impulse that is denied out of fear is energized by the denial, the
grid of intent behind it empowered to a much greater degree than the
superficially desired goal. …Thus, inevitably, a policy based on fear will
result in the precise opposite of what it claims to desire.” You can gain
more insight into the above idea by reading the posts on this web site Blog Page that deal
with the Power of Suggestion and The Law of Attraction. There are several posts
covering the topics. Think about the presidency of Richard M. Nixon and a few of his
followers: -- Professed to conduct a “War on crime”, but had to resign his position of
President before certain impeachment for criminal activities related to the Watergate Affair. . – Professed a platform of Family values, protector of freedom,
converses with “God”, but led to the
total disruption or destruction of untold thousands of lives and families, took away individual freedoms, further
enhanced spying on all Americans, took the politics of fear to the extreme for
modern times, and whose actions resulted in the turmoil still existing in the middle east today. We can do better! The politics of fear has to stop. The politics of
separation has to stop. We need constructive ideas and problem solving. We need
all the people involved who truly support a better future. We need thousands of
visionary leaders. We can no longer afford a do nothing congress living fat off
of tax payer dollars - Your dollars. For more
information related to this post see: http://www.thenation.com/article/i-voted-impeach-richard-nixon-heres-what-watergate-means-today/ (For a good summary of the Nixon
Presidency.) The below link was not discussed in this post but should be reviewed by
all voters before the next election. I will cover some of it in another post.
It covers the lies told the American public by the Ronald Regan administration
- Another fearful Republican administration. George H. W. Bush was Vice
President. For information related to the lies told concerning the invasion of Iraq
see the below link: Footnote: For The New Millennials. Being
a part of our country’s largest voting bloc, the New Millennials, you
may
not know the history I refer to in detail, but I do think that you may
be better able to discern truth as a group, than some of the generations
that preceded you. You have had more access to information through
technology
than all previous generations. My hope is
that you have also gained a better grasp of the ideas of reality creation,
exercised not only through your vote, but also through participation. You
influence the creation of a better democracy through your thoughts, intentions,
and actions. You also influence the creation of a more just and fair world
through your thoughts, intentions, and actions. I also hope
that you, like me, will obtain a copy of the speech delivered this week by Pope
Francis and read it for understanding. How does it resonate with you and your
role in creating the future you desire socially, economically, spiritually and
politically? Which presidential candidate meets your standards for the future
you desire? I may be two
generations removed from the New Millennials, but, being a product of the ‘60’s
I have an awareness of the ideals that were embraced then, which are similar I
think, to your current ideals. You have all the resources for peaceful
revolutionary success at your disposal. Be bold – “Cape Diem”! - It’s your future at
stake. Express your dream for your country and yourself through action. |

Within your own subjective reality are traces of all those
roads not taken and all those abilities you have not used.
You may think of yourself as primarily a parent, or mainly
in terms of your job or profession. As much as possible for now, for this
exercise, forget the normal familiar light in which you see yourself, and
consider your entire identity as you do the following exercise.
Write down all of your known physical abilities, no matter how trivial you think they may
be, and whether or not they have been fully developed.
Likewise, write down all of your known mental abilities, no matter how trivial you think they are,
even if they have not been developed fully. Write down all of theinclinationsyou have had toward particular activities, even
those you have only remotely considered along with those that have come vividly
to your mind.

The lists you
have written down represent the varied probable characteristics from which you
have chosen to activate your particular main interest. Out of all these
attributes, you have chosen what you now consider to be your hard-bed reality. To follow any of these directions, can enrich your existence and experience
that you know, and in turn open up other probabilities that now escape you. The
main image of yourself that you have held has, to a large extent, also closed
your mind to these other probable interests and identifications. If you think
in terms of a multidimensional self, then you will realize that you have many
more avenues open to expression and fulfillment than you have been using. These
probable achievements will lie latent unless you consciously decide to bring
them into being. Whatever talents you sense you have, can be developed only if
you determine to do so. The simple act of decision will then activate the
unconscious mechanisms. You as a personality, regardless of your health, wealth
or circumstances, have a rich variety of probable experience from which to
choose. Consciously you must realize this and seize the direction for your own
life. Even if you say “I will go along with all life offers”, you are making a
conscious decision. If you say, “I am powerless to direct my life”, you are
also making a deliberate choice – and in that case a limiting one. Once every six months, do this exercise over and monitor
yourself on the progress you are making in all of your change efforts. Using this in conjunction with the other two Natural Hypnosis exercises, re-evaluate and make changes in your expectations as you goals change. Each time, you should get closer to your personal "purpose in Life". Are the
results moving you in the direction of achieving the desired expectations, or
outcomes? Do you feel you have taken appropriate action?
If not, can you identify any lack of application of the ideas
and processes covered in all of the post in this series on suggestion and

Natural Hypnosis: Accepting Desired New Beliefs

Natural Hypnosis: Accepting
Desired New Beliefs
“Many people assign great power
to a hypnotist, yet whenever you have the undivided attention of another; you
act as a hypnotist to a large degree.
Whenever you have your own undivided attention you act as a
hypnotist and subject simultaneously. You give yourselves post-hypnotic
suggestions all the time, particularly when you project present conditions into
the future. Suggestions that you give yourselves constantly operate overall as
beliefs that are reflected in your experience.
Habitual thought patterns of either positive
or negative aspects backed up by resulting action, or conditioned behavior,
will be brought into your own life experience through what can be called natural
hypnosis. This process is a natural function of your mind. I want to impress
upon you the fact that all of this simply follows the natural function of the
mind, and to dispel any ideas that you have about the “magical” aspects of
hypnosis.” – (NPR S658) This exercise will help you
affect a positive change in any area of your life experience for which you feel
dissatisfaction. The change will come about when you accept an empowering
belief about the area of concern, and then let the old limiting belief you held
previously fade away. As you do this exercise, you will be activating new
biological patterns in your body.
Pick one area of importance and make that the
focus of the exercise each time you do it for a designated number of days. When you begin to see results in that area,
then choose another area or belief to work with. EXERCISE 1. For
5 or 10 minutes a day at the most, use this method of natural hypnosis
to accept into your subconscious, any desired new belief. Select one single,
positive, empowering statement that summarizes the new belief you desire to
accept. 2. Once
you are relaxed and feel centered, concentrate your attention as vividly as
possible upon this statement. Visualize this statement on the screen of your
mind express visually any way you feel comfortable with. 3. Repeat
this one single statement over and over while focusing upon it visually for
this 5-10 minute time period.
4. Feel
the emotion of this statement in whatever way is possible for you – visualize
the expression of joy and satisfaction you will emote when this has become a
truth in your life. Your emotions are the element that gives this statement
power. 5. If
you mind insists at first on wandering and running about, channel its images in
line with your declaration. Visualize the results of it in your life in as many
ways as possible at this time. Do this exercise with an “easy attitude” about
it, without straining.
6. Do
this exercise as a “stand alone” exercise – do not include it at the same time,
consecutively with other similar exercises. Each exercise should be carried out
on separate occasions during any one day. 7. Repeat
the exercise for 3 days, without concern, and then reflect on your feeling
about the wording of your suggestion. You may need to alter the wording until
you are comfortable with it. When you feel you have the right wording for you,
then continue using it. Some time will be needed to see the changes desired to be
evident in your materialization. 8. You
need to continue the exercise until inner channels of neurological and
biological patterns become re-patterned. Your own feeling will be your
individual guide.
“Research has revealed that for
some people, 3 weeks may be required. For others, there may be very quick
results evidenced. If you do see quick results, continue the exercise. But,
there is no need to do the exercise for more than 10 minutes on any occasion of
working with it. Trust in the process – it is a natural process being put under
conscious control. Some people, for their own
reasons, begin to believe in: ·
Illness more than health.
·
Poverty more than abundance. ·
Loneliness rather than affection.
·
War rather than Peace.
·
Physical reality is the only reality rather than
just one version of reality.
·
Authority figures instead of trusting their
personal validity and wisdom. The beliefs of your conscious
minds are followed in degree by all portions of the self – down to the smallest
molecules and atoms. Your beliefs generate the proper feelings and imaginative endeavors characteristic of
them. You hypnotize your very nerves, and the cells within your body, and they
will react as you expect then to react. The unconscious accepts those orders
given to it by the conscious mind. If you are dissatisfied with the
results in some area of your life, question the orders that you are giving in that particular arena of experience.
The results may not seem to follow your conscious desires, but you will find,
that they do follow your conscious beliefs, which may be quite different.
When you set your longing against a present belief, there will always be conflict. In hypnosis, the conscious mind
is focused, intensified, and narrowed to a specific area – all other stimuli are
cut out. This intensity of conscious concentration cuts down barriers and
allows the messages to go directly to the unconscious, where they are acted
upon. The hypnotist is important in
that he/she acts as a direct representative of authority. The hypnotist acts as
a parent substitute. Society has traditionally taught you to look to authority
figures for answers.” You are now learning to be your own
authority. “You are gods in training”.”

this exercise were taken from The Nature of Personal Reality by Jane
